Alone 2 wraps!

For anyone who’s seen Uwe Boll’s ALONE IN THE DARK, it’s an absolute shocker that an ALONE IN THE DARK 2 was greenlit and on it’s way to DVD. Shocker because, while John Fallon aka The Arrow had a small role in this beast, it couldn’t save it from being one crappy-ass movie. But alas, ALONE 2 was filmed, and we just got word that it recently wrapped principal photography! That’s right, only a matter of time before you’ll be seeing the final product…

ALONE 2 tells the story of Edward Carnby, who joins forces with a team of witch hunters to track down the dangerous witch Elisabeth Dexter. It may not sound as balls to the wall as you may have hoped, but according to co-director Peter Scheerer many actors and agents liked the script, and we were able to get so many great actors.

He wasn’t joking either, as the film stars Lance Henriksen, Bill Moseley, Danny Trejo, Rick Yune, Rachel Specter, Ralf Moeller, Zach Ward, Natassia Malthe (pictured), P. J. Soles, Michael Pare, Jason Connery and Brooklyn Sudano. Wow! What a cast! But wait… no Tara Reid? For shame!

Also, did I mention that Boll is only producing the flick? That’s right, he’s not in the director’s chair with this one, so you can take a slight sigh of release. Along with Sheerer, Michael Roesch is also on as direct (the duo also wrote this badboy), so hopefully their labor of love will result in something extraordinary. Or at least watchable.

Filmed throughout L.A. and New York, principal photography is official over, and the party known as ‘post production’ has just begun. No word on when they’re expecting to release ALONE 2, other than sometime in 2008, but you’ll be the first to find out when we do!
