Clowns are creepy as hell. After Stephen King’s IT, I’ve sworn them off completely, still wondering how they were ever invented in the first place. Kids may like them, but that like turns to fear and hate before their 10th birthday. And if it doesn’t, then something’s wrong with them…
So the upcoming horror jamboree AMUSEMENT (which we first told you about HERE) sounds like a scary ass blast of clown carnage, as it deals with a traumatized woman who’s questioned by a cop and a psychiatrist about three stories — involving a clown, a hotel and a convoy — that involve her and two of her female friends from childhood. The women are then stalked by a killer with a grudge.
Originally scheduled to hit in January, then pushed back to March 28th, it appears as though Picturehouse has pushed it back once again, this time to April 25th. For a movie to move further from winter and closer to summer, it brings hopes of not being just a slacker of a movie, but something more – and better – than originally thought. So while we’ll have to wait an extra month to enjoy it, let’s just thank our lucky stars it’s not being released in February, where the really bad movies are sent to die.
