Adams is attached to star in THE TEN BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE, an upcoming adaptation of the novel by Adena Halpern. So far not so bad but the film would be directed by Shawn Levy, he behind some of the least funny comedies in recent memory. Levy and Adams worked together on NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2, a movie I actually sat through just for a little Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart fix.
In the film, Adams would star as a woman who dies and is asked, before she can enter heaven, to prove her life was worthwhile by recounting her 10 best days. It seems like a cute enough concept and I’d like to think that Levy could pull it off but after seeing how terribly unfunny DATE NIGHT looks (even with the combined talents of Steve Carell, Tina Fey, James Franco, Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis), I’m beginning to have my doubts.
