An undead clown crashes a party in UK horror-comedy Stitches

What could possibly make a clown more unnerving than it already is? How about an undead clown?

Today Variety broke the news that Irish horror-comedy STITCHES is going into production with help from Fantastic Films, MPI Media Group and the Irish Film Board. Conor McMahon (“Zombie Bashers”) is directing, while British comic Ross Noble and Tommy Knight (“The Sarah Jane Adventures”) will headline the cast.

The twisted film centers on Richard “Stitches” Grindle, a jaded kids’ birthday clown. He falls victim to a fatal party mishap at the hands of a group of nasty children. Years later, the group of now teenagers attend a party at which Stitches is the uninvited guest of honor, returning to avenge his untimely death.

Reminds me a bit of the “Masters of Horror” episode “We All Scream for Ice Cream”, but it has to end up being better than that. It just has to…
