Actress Analeigh Tipton has had my attention since the film CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE., and actor Tyler Labine, who is probably best known for his role in TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL, has been one of my favorites ever since I saw him on the TV show Reaper. Now those two are sharing the screen in the upcoming psychological thriller BROKEN STAR, instantly earning that film a place on my "must see" list.
Labine usually plays comedic roles, but he has gone creepy serious for his collaboration with Tipton, making this project all the more intriguing.
The feature directorial debut of Dave Schwep, BROKEN STAR was written by David Lee Brant and tells the story of
Markey Marlowe (Tipton), a young, ambitious actress who will stop at nothing to ensure everlasting fame. After many encounters with the law, she is sentenced to house arrest, where she manipulates her recluse landlord (Labine) to fulfill her demonic desires.
Tipton and Labine's co-stars include Monique Coleman, Lauren Bowles, Natasha Loring, Alex Lombard, and Josh Davis.
