I did a bit part in Christian Viel’s RECON 2020
(formerly known as Power Corps) years ago , I had no idea that the little flick
would spawn sequels, or that my role would evolve after his death. I also had
ZERO HINTS that I would wind up co-writing Part 2 and Part 3. But here we are in
2009 with 2 active Recon movies on the market and another one on the way this
year. Who knew!
RECON 2020 and its sequel RECON 2022 were both distributed in the States already on DVD but next month will be Canada’s turn to get some loving. ANCHOR BAY CANADA will be releasing both films as a
TWO PACK on April 7, 2009. You can
pre order the f*cker here! It should be said
that the third installment in the RECON franchise, RECON 2023 is presently in Post
Production and is slated to premiere at Sci Fi London this coming April. Now
lets look at the evolution of my character throughout the films. Why? Cause I
feel like it. Pure and shameless self indulgence baby!
RECON 2020 – MERC
An empathy challenged Mercenary that likes to rape and kill. A simple man
with simple plans.
RECON 2022 – CYBERMERC
A revived and borged up (by pesky aliens) bag of bolts that runs a Cyborg
city. Yup Merc has moved up in the world! He also enjoys raping and killing with
his phallic hand drill weapon.
RECON 2023 – CYBERMERC 1.5
You can’t keep a murderous, sexually deviant and totally
insane Cyborg down! A re designed Cyber Merc! New get-up, further screws loose;
longer phallic drill!
