Anderson updates CV

Okay, since the last time I badmouthed Paul Anderson and got flack from some schmoes, I promise this one time to not bash the man or his movies. That said, IGN recently caught up with Anderson and his upcoming video game-to-flick adaptation of CASTLEVANIA.

Currently still having it’s budget finalized, Anderson stated that the film will probably begin filming in the fall or winter, with locations being Transylvania and Hungary. The reason for Hungary is because that’s where Anderson believes Vlad Tepes aka Vlad The Impaler aka Dracula was born. Technically, Transyvania is in Hungary, and to be accurate, Vlad is suspected to have been born in the city of Sighisoara, but hey, who am I to say?

Anderson elaborated, saying that the locations are exciting since “[they] haven’t been shot properly in a mainstream movie”, so it would be something new to audiences. Beats a half-assed soundstage, doesn’t it?
