Any movie that leaves me feeling f*cked up after watching is A-Ok in my book. So needless to say there’s some exciting news coming in from Bloody-Disgusting today.
That news is that Brad Anderson has dropped word on bunch of new flicks he’s working on! First up is ALL LOST SOULS, which Anderson describes as a serial killer movie. Now I’m a sucker for serial killer flicks, so throw Brad Anderson behind the camera for one and I’m definitely game!
Next up is VANISHING, which is described as: a smart post apocalyptic horror film. First thing that comes to mind is of course I AM LEGEND, but I have the feeling Anderson is talking about something a wee bit different.
Thirdly we have a remake of THE 7TH VICTIM, which is about a group of devil worshipers in New York. Apparently this one is looking to be a big budget mainstream movie and Anderson hasn’t exactly signed on yet… just mentioned that he’s been approached.
And lastly… the coup de grace: A flick called CONCRETE ISLAND. It’s described as an urban Robinson Caruso story. Anderson stresses the fact that it’s a ‘f*cked up’ flick and also states that actor extraordinaire Christian Bale has expressed interest in starring.
Bale and Anderson have teamed up before in a flick called THE MACHINIST, apparently it was pretty badass and let’s face it… anything Christian Bale is in turns to gold. So that has intrigue written all over CONCRETE ISLAND.

In the meantime we have Anderson’s TRANSSIBERIAN to look forward too, which stars the beautiful Emily Mortimer (below) and got a limited release yesterday.
