It’s funny to me when I read rumors of Angelina Jolie’s return to WANTED. Funny because, you know, she dies in the first one. And not just in a “well she could conceivably come back” sort of way. No, she gets shot in the f*ckin’ head. Pretty hard to bounce back from that…
And that’s what Ms. Jolie, always the pragmatist, tells ComingSoon.net in relation to WANTED 2, which is still being developed. In so many words she tells them “I’m dead. Duh.”
“Being dead makes it difficult. They were (trying to bring me back) but I kind of feel like if I die in a movie, I should die actually. I’m that way, and that character is not as complex as Salt. It would just be doing the exact same thing in another movie, so it’s not that interesting to me.”
Word up, Angelina. While I thought WANTED was dumb fun, I don’t necessarily need a sequel, especially if Jolie isn’t going to be involved. (Morgan Freeman, for that matter, would also be missed.) James McAvoy is okay and all, but he ain’t that cool.
