Angelyne trailer: Emmy Rossum becomes the blonde bombshell of billboard fame in a full promo

Emmy Rossum has undergone a significant transformation for Peacock’s limited series Angelyne. After teasing the arrival of the blonde bombshell over the weekend, a new Angelyne trailer is here to make you hot under the collar.

Peacock‘s limited series explores the life and times of Angelyne, a Los Angeles celebrity making big moves to promote herself before the social media boom. Despite dipping her toes into several forms of media, Angelyne attests that she’s a private person and that people shouldn’t assume they know anything about her.

Angelyne is an unauthorized limited series based on The Hollywood Reporter‘s investigative article about Angelyne, L.A.’s mysterious billboard icon. According to Peacock, “the series is about fame, identity, survival, billboards, Corvettes, lingerie, men, women, women teasing men, men obsessed with women, West Hollywood, crystals, UFOs, and most importantly of all, the self-proclaimed Rorschach test in pink, glow-in-the-dark queen of the universe, Angelyne.”

Angelyne is an homage to the real Angelyne, who became a cultural icon in Los Angeles. This isn’t the true story of Angelyne. It’s not a straightforward biopic,” said showrunner Allison Miller. “It’s a story inspired by everything Angelyne represents, and so it’s a magical story, a hopeful story, a story about becoming the person you were meant to be and believing in your own inner strength to manifest your dreams. It’s a story about Los Angeles and everything the city means to people who move here and to people who dream about moving here.”

Peacock’s Angelyne series also stars Martin Freeman, Hamish Linklater, Michael Angarano, Molly Ephraim, Philip Ettinger, Lukas Gage, Charlie Rowe, and David Krumholtz.

Angelyne premieres when Peacock debuts nationally on May 19, 2022.
