First, there was WRONG TURN, then the upcoming sequel WRONG TURN 2: DEAD END, and now… WRONG WAY? Wait, what…? Though not related to the WRONG TURN franchise, WRONG WAY is the latest low budget throw-back to the slasher films and old school horror of the 70s and 80s. Sure, we may have seen flick so this nature a million times before, but that doesn’t mean this won’t be a barrel of fun and then some!
WAY is reminiscent to TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in both story and folklore, as it revolves around the washed up town of Solum, GA- a town set to die after it’s source of economy shut down 50 years ago. Now, only a handful of townies remain, all batshit crazy and hungry for blood. A group of teens on a road trip get lost and happened upon the town, and… well, I’m sure you can imagine the rest.
The flick is set to star a gaggle of folks, including the great Jason London (THE RAGE: CARRIE 2), Vincent De Paul, Kari Wuhrer (smokin’ hot and pictured below), Jamison Jones, Scott Schwartz, Georgia Chris and Bjorn Jiskoot, Jr.. Quite the cast, and makes me believe this flick isn’t gonna stay under the radar for that much longer!
WAY’s official site is now online, and I suggest you CHECK IT OUT, as there’s a teaser trailer for ya, a detailed synopsis and photos of the rest of the cast to get ya interested. Could be cool, could be just another back-country slasher rip-off, but either way… it’s one to watch out for. Stick around for more on WRONG TUR…. I mean, WRONG WAY as we hear it!
