Anthology sequel Tales from the Hood 2 gets a trailer and release date

Universal 1440 Entertainment will be releasing a sequel to the 1995 anthology film TALES FROM THE HOOD on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital, and On Demand on October 2nd, and with the release date less than three months away a trailer has arrived online, with the folks at Bloody-Disgusting getting the exclusive first look at it. That trailer can be seen below.

Filling in for Clarence Williams III as anthology host Mr. Simms is Keith David, who will be presenting four horrific stories of

lust, greed, pride and politics through tales with demonic dolls, possessed psychics, vengeful vixens and historical ghosts. Mr. Simms’s haunting stories will make you laugh… while you scream. TALES FROM THE HOOD 2 is squarely in the tradition of outrageous, entertaining anthology horror, but it also addresses serious issues with a forceful point of view, just as folklore has done throughout history.

Some lucky viewers only have to wait a few more days to see TALES FROM THE HOOD 2, as the film is set to have its world premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal this Friday, July 13th.

For now, let’s watch this trailer:
