ANTIBODIES (review here) remake for Gold Circle Films, though no director has been attached yet.
Based on the original script by Kevin Waehner, ANTIBODIES is about a serial killing pederast who is caught after a violent shoot out with police. But there is still an unsolved murder of a young girl in a small town. Could he have done it? Or could he be the key to finding out who did? A mind game ensues between the cop from the girl’s town and the deranged serial killer in this intense psychological thriller.
Originally directed by Christian Alvart in 2005, the original German film was a modest hit in Germany, and gave Alvart a chance to direct a full blown Hollywood movie starring Rene Zellweger called CASE 39 (a flick that we’re still waiting to be released).
Penn is mostly known for writing/directing Music Videos, so it should be interesting to see how this remake turns out. Stick around for more on the English speaking ANTIBODIES as we hear it!
