Antonio Banderas gets into some zany renegade antics in the Gun Shy trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Have you ever viewed a movie trailer and thought to yourself, "What the f*ck did I just watch?" Well, that's exactly how I felt after taking in the new trailer for GUN SHY, in all of its madcap glory.

In the film, Antonio Banderas (DESPERADO, SPY KIDS) stars as Turk Henry, an aging rock star who, while vacationing in Chile, has his supermodel wife (Olga Kurylenko) kidnapped by renegades. Unable to navigate more than ordering a sandwich from room service, now he must take to the backstreets of Santiago in this hilarious caper that is as entertaining and it is hair-raising.

Okay, that's enough of a tease. Why don't you check out the trailer for yourself and bear witness to this truly bizarre-looking comedy using the player below?

Yeah, now do you see what I was getting at? Here's the thing though, as odd as the trailer makes this film look, I can't help but want to check it out. It striokes me as the kind of movie that you can truly shut your brain off to, while enjoying some over-the-top Banderas ridiculousness. Directing GUN SHY will be Simon West (CON AIR, THE EXPENDABLES 2, LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER, THE MECHANIC), who will work from a script penned by Mark Haskell Smith and Toby Davis. Joining Banderas and Kurylenko for the action comedy will be stars Ben Cura, Mark Valley, Aisling Loftus to round out the primary cast.

You can hope to laugh your ass off and see Banderas in a truly unique role in theaters and On-Demand beginning on September 8, 2017.
