Anya Taylor-Joy talks “epic” experience of working on Glass

M. Night Shyamalan’s GLASS will feature three heavy hitters in James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, but Anya Taylor-Joy has a big role to play as well after her character survived the wrath of The Beast (McAvoy) in last year’s SPLIT. Filming that movie was a much different experience than working on GLASS, and Taylor-Joy recently talked about how the sheer scope of it made working on the upcoming movie feel so “epic.”

Taylor-Joy was speaking with Collider about of a series of different projects when she was asked about GLASS, and she spoke about how this time around they knew they had a game changer in front of them. That, and she revealed how much she fangirled over Jackson’s return as Elijah Price. I'm very sure we will all do the same thing come January.

With Split, there was a giant sense of adventure and discovery. We were making something different, and it was weird and everything was so intense. There was a real sense of adventure with Split, whilst with Glass, it felt so epic. Every single day, everyone was so happy to be there because we were aware that we were making cinematic history. That’s a big deal. And then, you see Sam [Jackson] in his costume. I’m a true fangirl, so I was just like, “Oh, my god, that’s Elijah Price! That’s crazy! And I’m in a scene with him. That’s nuts!” I think we were all just so excited to be a part of it, and all very grateful to be a part of something so monumental.

Given the air of secrecy around the movie, it’s no wonder we have no clue what she will be doing for her second round. We get a few brief glimpses of her in the trailer that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con this year, but obviously, that revealed nothing. But that’s great, though, as it keeps her role totally in the dark and open for plenty of surprises. Maybe the twist is she’s been The Beast this whole time! Whooooooa.
