From directors Scott Waugh and Mike Mccoy (ACT OF VALOR), BLACK SANDS will see Schwarzenegger play a loner who wages war against a ruthless weapons manufacturer and his private army in the Southwest. The tone is Man on Fire meets High Plains Drifter. Block will be selling worldwide territories starting today.
Skip Woods (SWORDFISH, X-MEN: WOLVERINE, A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD) wrote BLACK SANDS, which is being financed by Bill Block’s QED. Word is the film will commence production on April 1, 2012.
Damn, I’m not sure about you, but HIGH PLAINS DRIFTERS in one of my favorite movies. If Arnie can deliver half the performance of Clint, and if Waugh and McCoy can deliver half the direction of Clint, BLACK SANDS becomes an instant must see. Besides, peep the writers prior credits. A-list all the way!
