Arnold Schwarzenegger in stable condition after emergency heart surgery

Judgment Day for Arnold Schwarzenegger shall go wanting, as it's been announced that THE TERMINATOR star is in stable condition after undergoing emergency open-heart surgery Thursday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Prior to the impromptu procedure, Schwarzenegger had been admitted for a catheter valve-replacement surgery, though the doctors soon discovered that the iconic actor's operation "was unable to be performed." As a result, the surgeons worked quickly to perform an emergency procedure that is said to have lasted several hours.

During the event, Daniel Ketchell posted an update on Schwarzenegger's behalf:

Some time after his initial posting, Ketchell provided fans of the last action hero with another update regarding Arnold's condition:

Phew! It sure feels good to know that Arnold "is awake and his first words were actually 'I'm back,' so he is in good spirits." Ha ha ha! Classic Arnold, always the showman. Also, as someone who's undergone two open-heart surgeries myself, I can assure you that this is very serious business. It's going to take Arnie some time to bounce back from this unfortunate event, though I'm certain he's up for the task.

We here at JoBlo would like to wish Arnold a speedy recovery from his ordeal, and a thank you to the staff of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for helping to keep the big guy in the game a bit longer.
