Earlier this year, our man James “The Hammer” Thoo (Note: Nobody actually calls him The Hammer considering I just made it up) told you about Darren Aronofsky signing on to direct the drama THE WRESTLER, which centers on an aging wrestler’s attempt to get back on top. If your initial reaction to the news was “what the fuck?” (as in this seems like quite the leap for Aronofsky) then maybe Slash Film’s recent review of the script will help clear things up. They give it a pretty glowing review and don’t venture too much into spoilers but if you’re a purist, you may wanna skip this one. It really does seem like a good fit for Aronofsky. Check out the review HERE. Thanks to Vinny for the heads up!
