Fans of David Arquette (SCREAM, EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS) can look forward to his return to horror soon, and bringing along Pee-Wee Herman himself doesn’t hurt, either.
According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, of all places, Arquette will direct a new horror flick called THE TRIPPER, which is being filmed in Santa Cruz, using a script penned by Joe Harris (DARKNESS FALLS). As stated above, Paul Reubens, who everyone who watched 80’s TV knows as Pee-Wee Herman, will be in the flick, as well as ‘Alias’ star Balthazar Getty. If that wasn’t news enough, the main reason for the article in The Sentinel was the fact that the film needs 200 extras. Casting calls will be held in Santa Cruz and Boulder Creek on Monday. Those of you with body piercings, tattoos, beards and anything else off-beat in particular are what these guys are looking for. An earlier casting call for extras held Monday at Digital Media Factory on Mission Street Extension produced only a handful of participants, so there’s still room!
The extras are expected to be part of a large audience attending an outdoor music festival in which they find themselves being stalked by the Reagan fan and his killer dog Nancy. UNCLE SAM, eat your heart out. Click here for the full article.
