In the words of The Joker: Here, we, go! Tomorrow I leave for the
SITGES FILM
FESTIVAL in Catalunda, Spain. It’s my
fav Fest of the lot. This will be my fourth year attending so at this
point, its like visiting family… but without the fights and the lousy cooking.
My history with the Fest is a full one. Aside of having covered so many films that played there, Deaden
and Recon 2022 (two movies I worked on) both premiered there and I was a
member of the Jury in 2006. This year will be no different in terms of me being
a busy mofo. I’ll of course be seeing/reviewing all kinds of films for the site,
will try to get more fun videos going while being there to back up my work
that’s being shown there. Here’s the lowdown:
A still from Martyrs; can’t wait to catch this one!
FILMS I REALLY WANNA SEE AT SITGES:
EMBRYO, THE FALL, SURVEILLANCE,
THE HIDEOUT, EDEN LOG, THE
BUTCHER, THE GOOD THE BAD THE WEIRD, VYNIAN, EDEN LAKE, ROCK AND ROLLA, THE
BROKEN, MARTYRS, THE BURROWERS, DONKEY PUNCH, LET THE RIGHT ONES IN, THE LONG
WEEKEND.
Famke Janssen in 100 FEET .
THE 100 FEET SPANISH PREMIERE: Eric Red’s
100 FEET (which stars Famke Janssen and Ed
Westwick) will be having its first ever screening in Spain. Writer/Director
ERIC RED and myself (I play Jimmy in the film) will be on hand to present
the film and support it through its Sitges run. I personally can’t wait to see the Sitges crowd react to this bad boy. Should be great! Here are its showtimes:
11/10/2008 01:00 El Retiro – 02/10/2008 23:00 El Retiro.

Actor Deke Richards in The Red Hours.
THE RED HOURS FIRST SHOWING: My short
film THE RED HOURS will have its first
showing ever (in Official Competition) at Sitges and I’m pretty stoked about it.
Actor DEKE RICHARDS and myself will of course be there to support the
short. Now this won’t be the Final Cut of the film (I still have audio/video
work to do on it). With that said, I’m sure that I’ll return from SITGES with
further ideas as to how to bring it home for its FINAL CUT. Here are its
showtimes: 06/10/2008 17:15 Sala Tramuntana – 08/10/2008 18:00 Auditori
Melià.
