Last month I showed you all the artwork for THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO soundtrack! Trent Reznor promised that December 2nd would bring more news on the soundtrack, and the man wasn’t lying! We have all the details and pre-order info, as well as how you can get a free 36-minute sample!
First off, this message was left on the order site, so if you do chose to go with them and order it, this info will let you know what ships at what time, so give this a read first: All preorders of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Soundtrack include an instant download of the free 6-track sampler. The digital album will be delivered on Friday, December 9th. The CD will ship out on Tuesday, December 27th. The deluxe will ship out on Monday, February 6th. Please be sure your audio is configured to play the soundtrack as gapless.
There are going to be 4 different versions of the soundtrack, and by that I mean two different physical versions and two different digital versions. Quite impressive for a soundtrack, so let’s give you a run down of those! But first you can visit this link for your free sampler.
So for the digital soundtracks, you have the choice of regular Digital, 320 kbps mp3, or HD Digital with your choice of Apple Lossless or FLAC. The latter will cost an addition $2 and are available for pre-order through Apple. You can pre-order either one here.
The first of the physical copies is a Digipak, which includes: the full album on three CDs, eight panel digipak with custom “ice” slipcase, six panel insert, includes digital version delivered in 320 kbps MP3 on Fri. Dec. 9th. You can pre-order it through the lable here or through Amazon (and help the site out) HERE.
Now here is the big release, the Deluxe Version! There is a lot to get with this one:
The price for this bad boy is $300 and currently only available through the label, you can pre-order that right here.
The film will be released on December 21st, it stars Rooney Mara (below), Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgård, Christopher Plummer, Robin Wright, Embeth Davidtz, Joely Richardson and Steven Berkof, and was directed by David Fincher.
