On March 4, Momentum Pictures will be giving a theatrical and VOD release to AVA’S POSSESSIONS, the new film from writer/director Jordan Galland.
Having dealt with vampires and superheroes in his previous movies, ROSENCRATZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE UNDEAD and ALTER EGOS, Galland has conjured up a tale of evil spirits for this one:
Ava Dobkins (Louisa Krause) is recovering from demonic possession. With no memory of the past month, she is forced to attend a Spirit Possession Anonymous support group. As Ava struggles to reconnect with her friends, get her job back and figure out where the huge bloodstain in her apartment came from, she’s plagued by nightmarish visions — the demon is trying to come back.
Krause is joined in the cast by Jemima Kirke, Alysia Reiner, Deborah Rush, Whitney Able, William Sadler, Lou Taylor Pucci, Dan Fogler, and Carol Kane. That’s one impressive line-up of actors for a film that sounds quite intriguing to me.
Taking a viral approach to promotion, the AVA’S POSSESSION marketers have released a video online that serves as a sort of infomercial for the Spirit Possession Anonymous support group, setting up that part of the story.
