With so much happening between now and the end of the year, it’s easy to forget that Avengers: Doomsday is bound to make a killing at the box office this December. While the lead-up to the film’s release has felt slow over the past year, Marvel Studios is officially going all-out to promote its next event film, with a campaign that includes a re-release of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, titled Avengers Endgame: Encore, on September 25, 2026.
On Tuesday, Marvel unveiled a trailer and poster for Avengers Endgame: Encore, with tickets now on sale for IMAX and Infinity Vision-Certified screens. What is Infinity Vision? Marvel’s new Premium Large Format (PLF) certification promises moviegoers an exceptional film presentation with big screens, bright images, and outstanding sound.
The special Encore presentation of the record-breaking film includes an exclusive look at the highly anticipated December 18 release of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. An additional sneak peek at the film will also be available to audiences who see Avengers Endgame: Encore on IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified screens.
In Avengers Endgame: Encore, after devastating events wiped out half the world’s population, the remaining heroes struggle to move forward.
In addition to a new poster featuring the new film’s massive cast, Marvel Studios dropped an official trailer for Avengers Endgame: Encore, which serves as a reminder of how moviegoers came together to witness the end of an era in theaters.
While the chance to see Avengers Endgame: Encore in theaters is an exciting way to prepare for Doomsday‘s arrival on December 18, keep in mind that Encore features just four minutes of extra content compared to the original. I think money’s a bit too tight these days to spend more than $100 (after paying for two tickets and snacks) to see a movie I already own on 4K. However, if you missed seeing Endgame in theaters or want to experience the film again in a new format, go nuts. Either way, the promise of Doomsday is enough to get me hyped, and we’re only a few months away from its release. Let the good times roll!
