AVP2: Better Direction

Hot off the announcement yesterday that ALIEN VS PREDATOR: AVP2 will be making an appearance at the international Comic Con, star Steven Pasquale had a chance to chat it up with MTV about the sequel to the lackluster 2004 original, and from the sounds of it, AVP2 is headed in a totally different- and better- direction!

I think it’s going to be really fun. [Directors] Colin and Greg Strause really know what they’re doing in terms of a sort of true-blue monster movie… Aliens and predators will be fighting to the death.

True blue monster movie? More scenes of Aliens and Predators killing each other? Given, anyone involved in this movie wouldn’t be talkin’ shit about it (even if it blew ass), but everything so far about this movie is looking up… could it be the ALIEN VS PREDATOR movie that lives up to the franchises that spawned it? So far, sources are saying yes!

Why will this flick be better? Probably because director Paul W.S. Anderson is not involved, as it’s my useless opinion that he generally delivers nothing but crap, and AVP was a perfect example of why he shouldn’t be in show business. Take Anderson out of the picture, and you have the dream-team of killing machines in a movie we’ve been waiting for!
