Babylon AD resumes

Man, the future is a hot item recently. On the heels of ESCAPE FROM NY and SURROGATES being announced this past week comes BABYLON AD, which apparently has been in existence for some time, but is only now resuming filming after a two-week hiatus in which the project needed to “sort some things out.” (industry speak for “wait, wait, what the f*ck are we doing?!”)

The futuristic tale concerns “a mercenary (Vin Diesel) hired to escort a young woman who has been genetically tampered with, containing a virus that could destroy the human race.” Sounds like THE TRANSPORTER AD to me.

The film is being directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, who has done both good (LA HAINE) and bad (GOTHIKA) work, and also stars Michelle Yeoh (as a nun!) and Melanie Thierry as the young virus-riddled woman in question. Click on either Melanie or Michelle to get some more info regarding the troubled production.
