The first stills are available for the Vin Diesel epic, BABYLON A.D. The flick revolves around an army veteran turned mercenary named Toorop (Diesel) who agrees to escort a woman from Russia to Canada. What he doesn’t know though, is that the woman is actually host to some kind of organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah. Sounds a little like CHILDREN OF MEN but, I’d imagine, where CHILDREN consciously tried not to glorify violence, BABYLON will probably look to cash in on Diesel’s mantacular biceps and his ability to kill people with his teacup. Also, Janine of VinXperience tells me that there’s another movie, RED SIREN, starring Asia Argento (Diesel’s co-star in XXX) which looks at the earlier life of Toorop. Don’t know if you guys want to check that out to get into the groove!
