I’ve wanted to see BABYSITTER WANTED for the absolutely longest f*cking time! It’s been nearly a year since I’ve heard anything at all on the flick, even though it was picked up by Anchor Bay. I just figured it was forever stuck in “release limbo”… then today, I heard the news! It appears that after all this time, BABYSITTER may have a taste for the theatrical! By which, I mean that the flick is about to get released to theaters! Here’s the exact lowdown:
BABYSITTER WANTED will hit select theaters on February 6th, 2009. It will also be premiering on Dish Network’s Premium PPV the same day. From there it will be expanding to even more theaters on February 20th.
Not bad! I’m so glad that BABYSITTER is finally seeing the light of day. Even if it isn’t playing at a theater close to me, I can still expect a DVD release some time after! Good stuff! And how about that sweet new poster for the flick up top?! Here’s a refresher of the plot:
A devoutly religious college student seeking to escape her roommate and make a little extra cash becomes the target of a disfigured serial killer who stalks his helpless prey from outside the darkened windows of a rural farmhouse.
I heard it’s one brutally killer time! Plus, it stars the gorgeous Sarah Thompson (below) as well as Matt Dallas, Kristen Dalton, Bruce Thomas, Nana Visitor, and genre vet Bill Moseley. It was written by Jonas Barnes who co-directed with Michael Manasseri. For more info, you can check out the official website here.
