Christian Bale is the proprietor of a pretty outrageous film career. With a whole whack of high profile films on the way, many tend to forget that he is in fact, still the Batman. Well it seems as though the folks at Total Film have not yet forgotten, and found it in themselves to ask the man about the follow up to THE DARK KNIGHT. Here’s what Bale had to say:
Will we do a third movie? It’s got to be the right story. You can’t make something like THE DARK KNIGHT and then come out with something disappointing. I would like it if people say, ‘You’ll never make a good third movie.’ I say, ‘OK, let’s make a third movie in that case, let’s prove them wrong. But that’s just me. The fact is, I have to! I’ve signed up! Chris doesn’t. So I’m in a bit of a fix if he says he doesn’t want to!
Based on this tidbit it looks as though Bale will be back as Batman no matter what. I for one am disappointed; I really hoped Justin Long would be given a chance. Read the rest of Bales interview HERE.
