The basic, yet out-there plot reads like this: When an aspiring rock musician TONY returns to his college town to make up with his estranged girlfriend ROSEMARY, he finds his life taking an unexpected turn to the dark side when he encounters a mysterious rock band NEOWOLF led by rocker VINCE and the alluring band girl PAULA. When Rosemary’s best friend KEVIN turns up dead, Rosemary seeks out a Nursery owner MRS. BELAKOV who knows the secrets of an ancient evil.
For some strange reason, I’m kinda diggin this flick. Maybe it’s because of the rocking premise? Maybe it’s because the chicks in it look hot? Maybe it’s because it clearly contains gore? Or maybe it’s because horror hottie Tiffany Shepis has a small role as a sexy groupie? Take your pick, my friends.
NEOWOLF was directed by Yvan Gauthier from a script by Alessandro De Gaetano and Michael January. It stars Agim Kaba as VINCE, Michael Frascino as TONY, Heidi Johanningmeier as ROSEMARY, Ryan Ross as KEVIN, Veronica Cartwright as MRS. BELAKOV, and Megan Pepin as PAULA . It is being sold at this year’s Cannes Film Market.
