So what do you do when two flicks that have murder in their veins, but surely won’t service as strictly genre flicks, announce cast additions in the same day? Well you write ’em up together and hope that the collective blood and horror of the two will count as one genre-ific story.
First up, ZODIAC. This long awaited project from David Fincher seems to finally be rolling along with Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey, Jr. joining the cast as reporters following the case. Mark Ruffalo is also in negotiations to serve as the lead investigator tracking the killer. Serial killers are always fun times, though expect this to be more SILENCE OF THE LAMBS than HALLOWEEN.
Hot on the heels of that comes the return of the franchaise that gave cinema its most famous woman crossing her legs scene in history. Yep, BASIC INSTINCT 2: RISK ADDICTION dropped news that David Thewlis (KINGDOM OF HEAVEN) and Charlotte Rampling (SPY GAME) have joined Sharon Stone and David Morrissey as a police officer and psychiatrist respectively.
Does anybody else have a wicked MRS. ROBINSON thing going with Charlotte Rampling after seeing her in SWIMMING POOL? I mean, her face has a few more lines than in the pic below, but good lord her body may actually be even better!
