Bates has done everything from 2004’s DAWN OF THE DEAD, to last year’s 300, and even a few by Rob Zombie (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, HALLOWEEN). Talk about a killer resume!
ComingSoon.net scored the scoop that Bates has just signed on to compose the music for two big, upcoming projects. The first, re-teaming with director Zack Snyder for THE WATCHMAN, and second — taking on the classic Sci-Fi remake of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL for director Scott Derrickson.
Both projects sounds particularly exciting — I’m actually quite stoked to hear what he’s gonna come up with for EARTH. Will it reflect the original film’s musical score? Will it go in its own crazy direction? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
