Batgirl movie outfit: Leslie Grace posts a first look

Batgirl, HBO Max’s big-budget entry into the DCEU, just recently started filming, and star Leslie Grace has unveiled our very first look at the iconic character’s big-screen look via social media. It’s a pretty slick shot of the Batgirl movie outfit that should please fans.

As previously revealed, this version of the character is based on DC’s New 52 run, and indeed the outfit looks plucked from the pages of the comic. Grace also included a cool quote that winks at the actress’s small stature, which she’ll undoubtedly use against the main baddie Firefly (played by Brendan Fraser) in Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah’s (Bad Boys For Life) film.

“I use their expectations against them. That will be their weakness. Not mine. Let them all underestimate me…

And when their guard is down, and their pride is rising, let me kick their butts.”
– Batgirl, Year One

Batgirl co-stars none other than Michael Keaton as The Dark Knight, with J.K. Simmons reprising his role as Commissioner Gordon, who, of course, is Batgirl’s dad. Batgirl is due out sometime later this year on HBO Max, but this seems to be the streamer’s biggest film to date, with high-profile directors in El Arbi and Fallah and a heavy-hitting supporting cast. I mean, they got Michael Keaton in there as Batman! Pretty cool, Christina Hodson, who also wrote Birds of Prey and the upcoming The Flash, penned the screenplay.
