But if what Comics Continuum is reporting is true, it looks like we may get Year One in some form: Animated form! Here’s their report:
Batman: Year One, the comic-book story by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchilli, is being adapted into one of Warner Home Video’s DC Universe animated movies, The Continuum has learned. According to sources, the film will be directed by Sam Liu, who co-directed Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. Warner Bros. did not confirm the film’s existence. The studio has not commented on projects until their announced release.
Sam Liu also directed the recent SUPERMAN/BATMAN: PUBLIC ENEMIES which, even whilst heavily not sober, I could tell wasn’t really all that (certainly not anywhere near the level of Bruce Timm’s Batman: The Animated Series anyway). But hey, who knows?! I wouldn’t mind being surprised by a cool adaptation. What say you guys?
