Shout! Factory will release the sci-fi/action flicks BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS (as part of its Roger Corman’s Cult Classics series) and DAMNATION ALLEY on DVD and Blu-ray on July 12. Special features have not yet been announced, but you can check out the cover art for the releases below.
1977’s DAMNATION ALLEY is directed by Jack Smight and written by Alan Sharp and Lukas Heller. It stars Jan-Michael Vincent, George Peppard and Dominique Sanda. In an post-apocalyptic world, a group of survivors travel and find other settlements in huge, custom designed all terrain vehicles.
1980’s BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS is directed by Jimmy T. Murakami and written by John Sayles. It stars Robert Vaughn, Richard Thomas, Jon Saxon and George Peppard. Seven futuristic mercenaries are assembled to defend a helpless farm colony from an evil overlord.
