Batwoman: Peter Outerbridge joins CW series as villain Black Mask

The CW's Batwoman is getting ready to welcome Nikita actor Peter Outerbridge to Gotham City as the villain Black Mask.

Outerbridge's Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask, will be a significant presence in Gotham for the remainder of the season. Per Deadline, Sionis is a pragmatic and charismatic CEO who plays the “white knight” against Gotham’s corrupt systems. As Black Mask, an evil mastermind with a deep hatred of The Crows and masked vigilantes, he is willing to tear down Gotham to enact his revenge.

Also set to join the show is Wallis Day as an altered version of Kate Kane. At the end of the latest episode of Batwoman, Kate Kane was discovered to still be alive but was unrecognizable due to severe injuries sustained in a plane crash.

Fans of the DCEU will remember Roman Sionis as the villain of Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn. Played by Ewan McGregor, Black Mask is the type of villain you love to hate. He's got a list of nasty habits a mile long and will kill just about anyone to get what he wants. Typically, he's okay with laying low while overseeing his slice of Gotham, but the moment an opportunity arises, he seizes it like lion shreds a wounded antelope.

It should be fun to see how Outerbridge will approach the role of Black Mask and how Batwoman attempts to keep his sadistic ass in check.
