Batwoman: Robin Givens joins cast as a series regular for season 3

Robin Givens is continuing her working relationship with The CW. After playing Siera McCoy on Riverdale, the actress will be joining season 3 of Batwoman in what is being called a "key role."

Givens has been cast as Jada Jet, described as a "powerful CEO for Jet Industries who is a passionate and hard-working woman who has worked her way through life's ups and downs to climb her way to the top. Jada Jet is a woman with a deep past that forced her to give up her first-born child but she will do whatever it takes to protect her family."

Givens is currently recurring in the upcoming HBO Max series Head of Class, where she is reprising her role as Darlene Merriman from the original series. In the new show, Darlene is Terrell's (Brandon Severs) mother. Givens also has a good working relationship with Greg Berlanti, the mega-producer who is responsible for most of The CW's lineup. Berlanti is behind Riverdale, where Givens had a recurring role as Sierra McCoy, and he also oversees Batwoman. Givens also directed a couple of episodes of Riverdale during her time on the show.

Batwoman had its second season finale on June 27, 2021, and it saw Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) fully taking up the mantle as Batwoman with Kate Kane leaving Gotham in search of her long-missing cousin Bruce Wayne. It was also discovered that Ryan's biological mother, long believed to have died in childbirth, is actually alive. The series also stars Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, and Camrus Johnson.
