Beau Mirchoff will scrub up for the Flatliners remake

Niels Arden Oplev's remake of FLATLINERS has acquired another young star to play a danger-seeking med student. This newest recruit, playing "Brad," is Beau Mirchoff, who is best known for playing the role of Matty McKibben on Awkward. However, he's had some varied experience in the genre in Aquarius, SCARY MOVIE 4, and the hilarious THE GRUDGE 3.

Written by Peter Filardi and directed by Joel Schumacher, the original FLATLINERS has the following synopsis:

At University Hospital School of Medicine, a group of ambitious medical students are about to die… and live to describe the experience.

Embarking on a daring and arrogant experiment, the five aim to push through the confines of life and touch the face of death. In their search for knowledge, however, the five discover the chilling consequences of daring to tamper with immortality.

The cast includes Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Kiersey Clemons, James Norton, Nina Dobrev, and supermodel Charlotte McKinney as a naughty nurse. Original star Kiefer Sutherland will be joining them. SOURCE CODE's Ben Ripley has written the screenplay for this new take on the material.

FLATLINERS will come to life on August 18th, 2017.
