Before there was Paranormal Activity, there was In Memorium! Streaming now!

Poor IN MEMORIUM. That little bastard had a brilliant idea but in spite of its awesomeness it failed to gather the audience it needed. Jared Pacheco wrote to youz guyz during Halloween weekend about the ghost/home security cam flick having a free sneak peek. While its attempt to steal the limelight from PARANORMAL ACTIVITY will not end, IN MEMORIUM is going all in and will be releasing the film on IndieFlick.com. You can catch the flick there in all its streaming glory.

Now I will tell you this: IN MEMORIUM is not inspired by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. The film was still in development back in 2005 and had been dormant ever since. Writer/director Amanda Gusack and producers Lydia Cedrone and Meredith Freeman actually state the film was supposed to be more in the shadow of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT than anything else. Damn, how long ago was that?

IN MEMORIUM centers on a struggling filmmaker who rents a house with his girlfriend to document his final days after a diagnosis of terminal cancer. To capture their lives without invasion, he installs motion-triggered security cameras in every room. But an invasion of a different sort is captured on the footage—an inexplicable presence in the house. Immediately after the discovery, things get terrifying.

I’ll confess that I’ve seen the film and I hands down loved it. I only wish more attention was given to the little sucker before PARANORMAL ACTIVITY dropped the madness bomb on the unsuspecting public. IN MEMORIUM stars (like PARANORMAL ACTIVITY) an unknown cast that includes Erik McDowell, Johanna Watts (below), Levi Powell, and Mary Portser. Check out the trailer and artwork down below and then hit up the streaming site right over here!
