When MORTAL KOMBAT REBIRTH hit the internet earlier this month, people went ape-shit crazy (check it out HERE). The look, the feel, the characters… everything about the 8-minute short seemed to be what fans had been looking for from the 1995 version but never got.
The folks at Hotter in Hollywood knew about the short long before it hit the internet, and was even on set during the time of filming. So naturally, since the word is out , they’re pimping out their set visit with a number of behind the scenes images featuring director Kevin Tancharoen (like the one above).
What maybe most impressive with the short is that Tancharoen fronted his own money to make the film… talk about a guy who really wants to make the film for real. If studios are jumping at the chance to throw money at this guy and make a MORTAL KOMBAT movie that doesn’t suck balls, then they’re all crazy. Crazy, I say!
