Though they’ve dabbled in “original” works like MEGA PYTHON VS. GATOROID lately, The Asylum’s heart still resides with the Mockbusters. They’ve given us such beauts as THE TERMINATORS, TRANSMORPHERS and PARANORMAL ENTITY, and now they shall treat us to BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES. Perfectly timed, this one is, as it airs on the Syfy channel this Saturday; just in time to compete with some other movie about aliens attacking L.A… Gotta love it.
The elegantly simple synopsis: In February 1942 US forces engaged an unidentified flying object above Los Angeles. Now almost 70 years later, the alien invaders have returned.
Oddly enough it looks more like it’s ripping off INDEPENDENCE DAY, but who really gives a shit. This one stars Nia Peeples (pictured above and below), Kel Mitchell and Theresa Jun-Tao. I’ll be giving it a thorough review on Monday, so please feel free to watch and chip in!
