Ben Barnes now the leading man set to join Jeff Bridges in The Seventh Son

So it’s been a while since we heard anything regarding that exorcism flick THE SEVENTH SON. You know what I’m talking about, that flick based on the book THE SPOOK’S APPRENTICE. Ringing any bells? No worries, I’m about to catch you all up.

You see word coming in from Variety has Ben Barnes set to star in the flick alongside Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore. Well that works. Jeff Bridges is quite simply the man, so anything with him attached has my attention. Especially when he’s playing the ‘Spook.’ Ya feel me? Yeah you do. Anyway here’s the rundown for this shite:

Tom Ward, a young boy training to be an exorcist in the 1700’s, must learn how to exorcise ghosts, contain witches, and bind boggarts. Trouble begins when he’s tricked into releasing the most evil witch in the world.

Along with Barnes (above), Bridges and Moore Swedish thesp Alicia Vikander (below) will also be starring in the film, which is coming our way from director Sergei Bodrov. No word on when THE SEVENTH SON will get rolling but we’ll be sure to keep you updated with every piece of news that comes our way.
