With the remake racing into theaters this week, we take a look back at the 1959 original epic Ben-Hur, starring Charlton Heston, which finds a Jewish prince betrayed and sent into slavery by his longtime Roman friend, only to return and seek vengeance…by way of a chariot race! Yes, we all know the story and this week sees another attempt at retelling it, this time with Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston in the titular role and WANTED director Timur Bekmambetov at the helm.
