Another tease for the much-debated BEOWULF has hit Apple.com – and this one still hasn’t convinced me that this looks like anything more than an X-Box game or a sequel to FINAL FANTASY: THE SPIRITS WITHIN… That said, those who watched the 3-D footage at Comic-Con swear it was mind-blowingly terrific, and I suppose we’ll have to buy that until we all see it for ourselves.
“Trailer #2″ is pretty much more of the same… It sure seems like it was pretty heavily influenced by 300 – toward the end I swore Ray Wintone was about to declare “This is SPARTA!” And personally I’m in favor of doing away with the electric guitar.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis, written by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary and starring Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Crispin Glover, Robin Wright-Penn, and of course, Angelina – BEOWULF invades theaters November 16.
