Best Worst Movie writer/director sets up vampire-less vampire flick Destroy

Now here’s a project heading our way that should throw you for a loop. According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog there’s a vampire flick heading our way that… well.. it doesn’t have any vampires. Intrigued? Of course you are!

The flick I’m talking about is something called DESTROY and is coming our way from BEST WORST MOVIE writer/director Michael Stephenson. The filmmaker is both directing the flick and producing with his Magic Stone Productions partner Lindsay Stephenson. Jennifer Roth is also producing the film, which was penned by Bryan Connolly and Zack Carlson. I know you want some details on this one, right? Check it:

In Destroy, vampires don’t exist, but that doesn’t stop a well-intentioned would-be vampire hunter from leaving a trail of blood-splattered wooden stakes across Bavaria. But while he thinks he’s saving the world, he is mistakenly murdering sweet, innocent old men.

See what I mean? A vampire flick that’s vampire-less. Whatever floats your boat! DESTROY is currently casting with plans to shoot in Eastern Europe soon.
