Bettis is a sick Roman girl

One of the items on my move viewing to-do list involves seeing Angela Bettis play doctor in Lucky McKee’s MAY. Since I’m in the middle of slogging through the excellent DVD for THE FLY, it’ll have to wait.

Speaking of long intros, Dread Central conducted an interview with Ms. Bettis on her starring in McKee’s MASTERS OF HORROR entry (entitled ‘Sick Girl’), and on her first directorial effot in ROMAN, which flips the director-star thing from MAY and has Lucky McKee in the starring role (he also produced and wrote the script). In the interview, Bettis was quick to avoid revealing much (if anything) about Sick Girl (other than “bugs and rug-bumpers”), but was willing to spill the beans on ROMAN.

“We’re almost finished with it,” says Bettis. “We’re trying to hit the festival circuit with it early next year and see how it does. It was made for very little money, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of journey it has.”
