The final trailer has been unveiled for Beware Boiúna, the giant Amazonian snake movie from Wrong Turn and Silent Night, Deadly Night director Mike P. Nelson. The new trailer comes with a particularly strong endorsement from JoBlo, featuring a quote from Tyler Nichols’ rave review of the film. Tyler gave Beware Boiúna a 9/10 and called it “the greatest killer snake movie of all time.” You can watch the new trailer above.
The quote featured in the new trailer comes from the review that was published by JoBlo just days ago.
“As much as we can complain that there’s really only one truly great shark movie, it can be argued that we’ve never gotten a legitimately good snake movie. 1997’s Anaconda is pretty much the closest thing we’ve received, and even that has pretty questionable quality. So while my next statement may not have tough competition, that doesn’t make it any less true: Beware Boiúna is the greatest killer snake movie of all time, and it’s not even close.”

The review praises the movie’s serious approach to its creature, its tension, its characters, and the visual effects used to bring the Boiúna to life. Nichols also highlights performances from Jessica Rothe, Kiana Madeira, and Logan Marshall-Green, while praising Nelson’s direction and the way the movie builds suspense even when the snake isn’t on screen.
The official synopsis reads:
Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.
The screenplay comes from Alan B. McElroy, who wrote Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers as well as both the original Wrong Turn and Nelson’s 2021 reboot. McElroy and Tony Giglio came up with the story.
The cast includes Madeira (Fear Street), Rothe (Happy Death Day), and Marshall-Green (The Invitation).
Nelson previously directed the Wrong Turn reboot, The Domestics, a V/H/S/85 segment, and the 2025 remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night. He also directed the Friday the 13th short film Sweet Revenge.
Beware Boiúna is scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 2, 2026.
The film is produced by Constantin Film and JB Pictures, with Robert Kulzer and Jeremy Bolt producing.
