The Cannes Film Festival is usually a hotbed of deal making and exotic hookers and this year is no different. One of the first deals to be announced is that of relentlessly badonkadonked serious thesp Jessica Biel and uncanny ruthless dictator emulator Forest Whitaker joining the cast of the drama POWDER ROOM. Under GREEN DRAGON director Timothy Linh Bui from a script by Bui and OWL AND THE SPARROW scribe Stephane Gauger, the story centers on four unlikely characters – a mortician, an ex-con, a suicidal ex-priest and a stripper – whose paths cross on Christmas Eve. Biel will, of course, be playing the mortician…if she weren’t dangerously hot eye candy. She’s the stripper. Duh. Production is scheduled to begin in late July in LA. Biel’s outrageously perfect dumps can next be seen coaxing Adam Sandler out of his fake homosexual marriage in I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY. Whitaker can next be seen in the thriller VANTAGE POINT, voicing a character in the Spike Jonze animated fantasy adventure WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE and in the Denzel Washington-directed drama THE GREAT DEBATERS.
