Big Trouble in Little China – Carpenter, Kurt Russell – (Show Me The Sequel)

Thirty-four years have passed by since the release of director John Carpenter's fun and campy ode to fantastical martial arts films, Big Trouble in Little China (watch it HERE, or buy a copy HERE), and even though there have been some recent rumors about a sequel starring The Rock, the new episode of our Show Me the Sequel video series, embedded above, is all about our need for Big Trouble in Little China 2!

Here's the Show Me the Sequel series synopsis:

The focus of this show is all about genre films that either never got sequels and we feel it's long overdue, fine movies that did get sequels but they were so lackluster that going back to square one is a must, or… flicks that DO have sequels but hey, we want freaking MORE of them! On top of that, we put our pitch for what said sequel should be about!

Show Me the Sequel is written and narrated by Pat Q, edited by Edward Clark, produced by John Fallon, and executive produced by Berge Garabedian!

Just in case you've been missing out on Big Trouble in Little China for all these years, the synopsis goes like this:

Kurt Russell plays hard-boiled truck driver Jack Burton, who gets caught in a bizarre conflict within, and underneath, San Francisco's Chinatown. An ancient Chinese prince and Chinatown crime lord has kidnapped a beautiful green-eyed woman, who is the fiancee to Jack's best friend. Jack must help his friend rescue the girl before the evil Lo Pan uses her to break the ancient curse that keeps him a fleshless and immortal spirit.

Meanwhile, Big Trouble in Little China is directed by John Carpenter and stars Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall, James Hong, and Dennis Dun!

Our last episode of Show Me the Sequel was about Beetlejuice, and you can check that out below! This is one of many shows we have on the JoBlo Horror Videos YouTube channel, so give the channel a look and subscribe while you're there!
