Bill Nye Saves the World releases new, energetic trailer

If you were a kid growing up in the '90s, you know who Bill Nye is. Whenever a science teacher was lazy, hungover, or a combination of both, they'd put Bill Nye's VHS tapes (god, does that date me) into the VCR and BAM another class period over.

Admittedly, I didn't appreciate Nye then (I was apparently "too cool" for it, in all my Tripp pants and wallet-chained glory). However, after a growing trend of anti-science and anti-intellectualism spreading throughout the country, I've come to grow fondness for what he was attempting to do, and how well he actually succeeded (the theme song hasn't escaped my head since I started writing this f*cking article). That is all to say that I'm ALL IN on his new Netflix show BILL NYE SAVES THE WORLD, which has just dropped a new, full trailer. Let's take a look:

Hmm, wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I didn't know it was going to be like a late-night talk show with a live audience and musical numbers and shit. But that format might be for the best, as he's tackling different issues (sex, GMOs, etc.), and it might be nice to have a discussion about these things, rather than a lecture – even if those important discussions are punctuated by jokes and skits. I'm still excited, either way.

Meanwhile, BILL NYE SAVES THE WORLD will run its experiments on Netflix April 21st, 2017.
