Billie Lourd, daughter of Carrie Fisher, joins Fox’s Scream Queens

The killer cast of Fox's upcoming "Scream Queens" continues to grow as Deadline is reporting that Billie Lourd is set to make her TV debut on the horror-comedy anthology series, joining an ensemble cast that also includes Lea Michele, Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Joe Manganiello, Abigail Breslin, and the recently added Nick Jonas.

Lourd is the daughter of STAR WARS actress Carrie Fisher and has been rumored to be playing a younger version of her mom’s character, Princess Leia, in the upcoming STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS.

The first installment in the new anthology series revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders. Production is scheduled to begin in the spring, with the series premiering in the fall of 2015 on FOX.

“Scream Queens” is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association Ryan Murphy Television. The series is co-created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. Murphy, Falchuk, Brennan and Dante Di Loreto will serve as executive producers.
